I am also very interested in this subject. I have a JD 650 that I have not been able to identify the year on. There don't seem to be any easily available places to find this information. I sent JD a request, but they were not willing to supplyany information. ....

If you called one of the dealers, they could pretty easily look it up on their computers.I know we get calls at our dealership of people looking to buy a tractor, but want to makesure it's legit and what year and stuff and it's as easy as punching the serial number into the computer... ....
